Connecting with the community
Stillpoint Yoga London (SYL) offers classes and workshops in London, but also retreats, holidays and other yoga events throughout the UK and around the world. It’s therefore very important for them to grow an online community of engaged practitioners.
After helping them refine their Mailchimp account and clean their mailing list, we also helped them organise their opt-in groups, added these to the website, and advised them on a content schedule for reaching their different audiences.
Over the years, SYL’s founder Scott Johnson has become very proficient at blog writing and has found his voice online amongst his community. Each month we help him with his blog posts by keeping him accountable, reviewing and editing his content, finding and resizing images, formatting the posts, preparing them in WordPress, writing excerpts and SEO data and scheduling them as per his content schedule.
Sending monthly newsletters
We also work with Scott to send out his monthly newsletters, containing SYL’s latest news and upcoming events, as well as a personal letter to the community. We prepare the emails based on the branded template we designed, find and resize suitable images, write relevant text and CTAs, insert and check all the links, write engaging subject lines, and schedule the emails as per the content schedule.
Sharing on social media
When a new blog post was published on the site, as well as including this in the monthly newsletter, we would also craft compelling social media posts to be shared across SYL’s channels. This would involve resizing images, adding relevant hashtags and @mentions, and scheduling the posts using our centralised scheduling software.
Saving valuable time
Handling Scott’s blogs, newsletters and social sharing for him each month saves him valuable time and stress. We keep him accountable with deadlines, he sends over the raw content, and we do the rest. So he gets peace of mind that we’re doing all the tasks he doesn’t have time to do, and can get back to doing what he loves most - teaching yoga!
