Redesigning the blog layout
As well as a Website Restructure package, Friskvårdskollen also bought a Blog package from us, as they wanted to re-launch their existing blog and start publishing content more regularly.
We redesigned the blog section of their website, giving it a much needed design makeover and making it easier to use. Their previous blog displayed each entire post in a long list, with no pagination or navigation, and lots of unnecessary and unused white space.
Recategorising the blog
We changed the format of the blog landing page to excerpt-only, so you can now read a summary of each post before deciding to read more. We reviewed and reorganised their categories and tags to make these simpler and clearer, and also to future-proof them for upcoming blog posts. Each post is now assigned to only one category, which is much better for SEO (search engine optimisation) purposes.
Adding a sidebar and calls-to-action
We added a sidebar with a search function, a list of recent posts, categories and tags, to help visitors more easily find the content they want. We also added a call-to-action (CTA) panel at the end of every post to tell visitors where to go next. These all link to the various services the client offers, as each blog post should have a clear goal - to encourage the reader to make a booking.
Engaging with the audience
By overhauling this client’s blog, they will be able to engage with their audience much more easily. Using the topic research undertaken in our SEO package, they can now plan ahead for future blog content, ensuring they’re publishing content their audience wants to read, and pushing this out via their new mailing list and across their social networks.
“As a sports clinic in Sweden, we really needed help with our marketing in this fast moving world. Our website had no real structure and our SEO wasn’t working for us either. Once we found Wildheart Media we knew they were the team for our mission! From the start we were fascinated as we journeyed deeper and deeper into their website, with lots of useful content and smartly designed packages. We took one step (package) at a time and worked our way forward. Guy and Hannah are so professional and educational, so it was really easy to follow the working process. We are very satisfied with the job they have done and we know this will be a long lasting partnership.” – Magnus Giertz
