Anahata is a community of health practitioners offering classes and complementary therapies in the thriving heart of Brighton, UK.
Additional consulting work
Here at Wildheart Media we do Consulting Work for projects that are outside the scope of our usual packages. This is often purchased in conjunction with other packages (in Anahata’s case, a New Website and SEO Package) in order to achieve specific tasks or to pull together a project.
For Anahata this meant building out custom areas of the new website to facilitate their unique needs, accommodating a new membership area, a booking system and a series of custom post-types.
A modern new booking system
To bring the booking process up to the same modern standards of the new website, we helped Anahata integrate a sophisticated new system.
We researched potential new booking systems for their requirements and presented our findings to them. In the end they decided to go with MBO (MindBodyOnline), as it provided everything they needed and more.
As a software solution developed specifically for the wellness industry, MBO opens up a world of new opportunities for Anahata to do business online, and directly facilitates many other aspects of their new website.
The wide range of services offered – and the many therapists and teachers who offer them – each needed their own custom page to effectively communicate what’s available at Anahata.
That’s why we created custom post-types for each page, and formed relationships between them to allow the content to link up dynamically, establishing a seamless transition across different areas of the site.
The high degree of website interconnectedness is great for SEO too, as it allows us to individually highlight every important element whilst distributing authority evenly throughout the different pages.
A new membership scheme
We also helped Anahata develop the BeWell Club, a new membership scheme that offers discounted treatments and other perks for members. To effectively integrate this into the site, we built a custom sales page and added different booking buttons for their two membership options (all linking up to their new booking system of course).
The new shop
Building out a fully functional online shop can be a daunting task for small businesses, but we designed the website to easily handle it.
MindBodyOnline is a software suite that can not only handle their booking systems, but also their payment transactions. So, by implementing this software solution we created a consolidated system that powers their entire website.
“Working with the Wildheart team was a pleasure – they managed to answer all my (novice to web development) questions calmly and clearly. They guided me through the process with care and attention, even to the smallest details, and managed to have a quietly mellow approach, in the midst of my general anxiety, fear and panic!
Our new website looks fantastic and Wildheart not only carefully transferred our old website pictures and text, but also recommended ways to make it much better and helped link this all together with our booking system (which was a task in itself). As a mutli-disciplinary complementary clinic with so many demands and needs from very different practitioners we finally realised we needed three different ways for people to book our services. This meant Wildheart had to redesign the Booking buttons various times, which they did quickly and efficiently. Similarly when we discussed our need to be able to rearrange the order of the therapies we offer, Wildheart quickly put in place a way to do this.
Finally we feel totally empowered and supported in our ability to update and change our shiny new website – Wildheart made us a series of personalised videos to explain how we can manage our website. When it was obvious I had no idea what I was doing, Wildheart also sent me a clear explanation of the different types of webpages we have (cutting through the jargon effectively) and have even answered my worried, post going live, questions. I was also very impressed by the way they managed to do the whole job whilst being in three different continents!”
